Who's There? Forest Creatures?

This story reminds me of those damned "Land Shark" bits on 70's era SNL. Ananova - Door knocking bear

"Animal experts in Croatia say a bear has learned how to trick people to let him in by knocking at the door." What type of experts are these? Door experts? Animal control agents?

I would say that these experts are overstating the abilities of this bear based upon spurious anecdotal information. Probably a few people in town got together to fabricate a story about seeing a bear in a door's peephole following a muffled respnse to the Croation equivalent of the query, "Who's there?"
