Family Stunned After Man Takes Niagara Falls Plunge and Lives
I have always enjoyed the fascination that humans have with surviving plummeting over the top of the Niagra Falls. This man is damned lucky to be walking around and most assuredly should not be fined for doing so. Why even impose a fine, since only two people have survived without the use of a protective measure? Who do they fine?
I know that several have died even when they have utilized protective measures (one of which survived plunging over the falls only to suffocate in his air-tight barrel).
The best part of the story is a witness' account of the event, "We thought we were witnessing a man's death," Terry McMullen of Ashtabula, Ohio, told The Buffalo News. "He glided right by us on his back with his arms in the air as though he was taking a leisurely swim. He went over the falls without a sound."

I see a blog as similar to a journal that I tried to keep as a child. It was black with a red spine and a had a non-descript Japanese sticker obtained from a box of Botan Rice Candy plastered on the side. The journal had a few days in a row journaled, then the next date was perhaps one year or two years in the future. All in all, the journal contained perhaps a half dozen entries; a dismal failure that will befall any journal that I begin I am sure. This 'blog is off to the same fantastic start as the journal I began when I was eight.
I decided to start this as an attempt to see what the free software would do, and, then, post a better blog (with more configurable software) on webspace provided by my university. Since I have been too lazy to do such, I have decided to use this free (and limited) program to serve as an online catharsis, as well as to remember what I am reading and have read recently.
The downside to this program is that people cannot post after me, and I cannot have any polls. Perhaps I will migrate this after a bit of time, if I actually use it. I would like to have some pages with general informative FAQ's and political content, which people could respond to and vote on. At least I now have a few ideas in a format I can refer to at a later opportunity.
